Local Government Super appoints new Director to Board

Local Government Super (LGS) has appointed Karen McKeown as a Director on its board, replacing Lindsay Brown, effective 10 April 2018.

Karen McKeown is currently a councillor and former mayor of Penrith City Council. Karen has worked with the finance industry for over 20 years, and is also a Director of Local Government NSW and Penrith Performing and Visual Arts.

LGS Chair, Bruce Miller, said: “We welcome Karen to the Board;; she brings extensive leadership and organisational experience to the Board, and a real passion for helping women boost their super and improve their lives in retirement.”

At LGS, Karen sits on the Audit and Compliance Committee, Member Services Committee, and the Risk Committee.
