The Defined Benefit Scheme, formerly known as the State Super Scheme, was one of the five superannuation schemes provided by State Super whose benefit design was incorporated into the Local Government Superannuation Scheme on 1st July 1997. It is referred to in the Trust Deed as Division D. For ease of identity it is now known as the Defined Benefit Scheme.
This information outlines the main features of the Scheme. It is not intended to be a substitute for the rules governing the scheme, which are detailed in the Trust Deed.
