Retirement and Defined Benefit Scheme
billing changes from 1 July

From 1 July 2011, the Monthly Employer Due and Monthly BB Due amounts for the Retirement Scheme have changed, reverting to the long term ‘Notional’ contribution rate. The 4-weekly bill for Defined Benefit Scheme members has also changed.

You only need to include certain contributions made for Retirement and Defined Benefit Scheme members on Payment Summaries. We’ve categorised the contributions to help you identify which ones you need to include.

Retirement Scheme:
180 benefit point members
Once a Retirement Scheme member has
accrued 180 benefit points, the employer is
required to pay a 6.5% award contribution which
is detailed in Appendix A in the monthly bill.-

If you have made an error when remitting contributions and require a refund, you need to contact us by email.

Employers to provide details of super contributions on employee’s payslips

Starting from 1 July 2012, all employers must provide details of the employee’s super contributions on the employee’s payslip.
